For those who want peace of mind without the hassle, new portable power stations from brands like Jackery, Geneverse and Zendure store electricity in batteries.

The new Anker PowerHouse 767, for instance, has enough muscle to keep a refrigerator humming for 20 hours on a single charge, with additional capacity for three more three-prong outlets and a bevy of USB ports.
